When one speaks of sustainability, the first thing one thinks of is respect for the environment. Nothing could be more correct. But for us, being sustainable has multiple meanings. First and foremost, contributing to the protection of the planet is a responsibility we want to (and must) take on. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, even when it is not economically viable, and we are keen to be transparent because it is part of our values.
Choosing Camorak as a laboratory for the production of our cosmetics means sharing with us our commitment to the environment by making responsible choices and selecting suppliers that are in line with our values. Here are some examples.
FSC®-Certified packaging
Recycled and recyclable plastic
We choose partners that supply us with recycled or recyclable plastics, reducing the consumption of new raw materials and limiting the amount of waste going to landfill. This commitment is part of our circular economy vision, which aims to give new life to materials and reduce the impact of plastics on the environment.
RSPO certified ingredients (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)
We only use raw materials that meet high sustainability standards. The palm oil, from which many of the raw materials in our products are derived, comes from RSPO-certified sources, a hallmark for the protection of forests, biodiversity and local communities.
Social sustainability
We believe that sustainability also concerns the humanity that inhabits our planet. For this reason, we have been committed to social issues for many years, supporting valuable initiatives and projects.
Support for Save the Children
We have been participating since 2010 in the Save the Children campaigns, an organisation that has been fighting for more than a century to ensure a better future for children by offering them access to education, medical care and protection. With our contribution, we want to do our part for a fairer world.
Support for AGEOP
Since the early 1990s, Camorak’s founding family has been actively involved in funding Ageop, an association that supports scientific research in the fight against childhood cancer and accompanies young patients and parents from the moment of diagnosis through to the ‘out-of-care’ stages, with qualified projects for reception, assistance, psychological support and psychosocial rehabilitation.
